How you can help with our research

As you may know, Restitute is involved in a number of research projects which involve analysing data anonymously to evidence the impact of our work and influence policy decisions.

We are keen to develop this further and need to sign up at least 100 participants to provide anonymous responses to further evidence the vital work of supporting 3rd party victims of crime.

You can choose to take part as many projects as you like.

The projects

True cost of crime

This research request is to analyse the true financial cost to parents, carers and partners when their child or loved one is a victim of crime. It will involve answering questions about costs associated with supporting or caring for your loved one, the impact on your work and career, additional costs to your household, time off work for caring or appointments for example.

Primary victim impact

This study will involve thinking about your loved one, their recovery and the relationship you have with them. We want to consider if the work you did whilst a client with Restitute has resulted in supporting your loved one’s health, wellbeing and life.

Long-term impact

We hope that clients who we supported will continue to do well in the future. We would like to find out if that is true and if there are any areas that continue to cause challenges. To take part in this study, you will need to fill in the assessment forms (well-being, carer confidence, health) that you completed as a client every 6 months.
